I play (or have played) every instrument I write for, to varying degrees. For me, writing music is an extension of playing, which is why I am so careful about playability, and your playing enjoyment.

As you can see, on this site you will find music for piano, clarinet, flute, Native American-style flute, tin whistle, recorder, violin, viola, cello, finger-style ukulele and baritone ukulele, mandolin and trombone, in dozens of solo and ensemble combinations.

I hold degrees in music education and clarinet performance from Heidelberg College (now Heidelberg University.)

I am a lover of nature, animals, and the great outdoors. Nature photography is a hobby I enjoy, and at home I share my life with my husband, our rescued cat, Heather, and a leopard gecko named Mango.

I ran Blevins Harps for about 17 years with my husband, Dwight, an incredible harp designer. We sold the company in 2018, and Blevins Harps are still prized and played around the world.
